HISTORY

MOGG was born from the desire of its founder, the architect Nicola Galbiati.

With a long experience in the world of furniture and design, the architect starts from where he had stopped. Art director but also skilled in framing it into a pragmatic view of business, always with the commitment and thin transverse pleasure to look forward. Curious by nature, he is fascinated from the understanding and the ahead of the times. The research is the true engine of its work, then the skill and knowledge in the field complete its expertise.

MOGG srl is a new furniture company, which opens its doors at the Salone del Mobile in Milan 2012.

MObili (furniture) OGGetti (objects)

Graphic cuts opposed to curved lines, warm materials combined with those cold, dynamism and versatility characterize the production.

Objects soloists, families of complements, intense shades and soft shapes, all elements of strong character who know how to make their mark, with a marked propensity to become iconic, with a strong connotation of the details that make them distinctive.

Slogan, democratic design, stylish looks but open to all. Materials and finishes lift the shot. A minimalist design, but not too much, basic and without frills. The naturalness is the hallmark of Mogg when everything is studied in detail.

Today Mogg is distributed all around the world by the support of 25 agents.

UNLIMITED DESIGN

UNLIMITED DESIGN | is our pay off ... wants to be our poster, a play of words to underline the limit area, the border between art and design, where you can (and probably should) find the match between the world of research and exclusivity, typical of products made in "limited edition" and the world of industrial and serial production and its distribution that should characterize (although often forgets) the design object.

PHILOSOPHY

MOGG has a soul and a well-defined identity, fresh, curious who wants surprise you and herself, looking for people that with their visions ( crazy and dreamers), with their enthusiasm, their work and their perceptions to love the new and modern concept of living.

On the other hand, if we are not surprised, everything falls into already seen, and into the already done and in the routine of the commercial proposals of which the world of furniture is saturated; however in all that we try to avoid, if we want to build and propose a design collection that leaves a mark, leaving the herd, the already seen.

MOGG is synonymous with pieces, accessories and objects with a well recognizable, clean and re-cordabile design, which combine aesthetic emotion and functionality, in order to characterize with strong note but not too much spaces, and projects, both modern that bourgeois or even more classic. The products of this collection range over from the small padded pouf to the small metal tables, from wooden containers to the piece in solid wood, highlighting a common denominator of a very modernity thanks to the ability to take ideas, demands and tastes of a different customers with a marked sensibility to irony and research.

The result is a product that can satisfy the tastes, needs and budgets, where the exclusivity is not its cost but in its originality, and aware of a purchase of a unique product. Unique not only because is produced by limited edition but because is different from any other product already on the market.

FACTORY

Mogg's home does not forget the past, it opens up to new relationships and dynamics, it is a place of light and a laboratory of ideas. It tells the essence and identity of the brand.

It doesn’t show itself on the street, it announces itself with a small and decadent guardroom with discrete signs, but the experience that is lived inside immediately transmits the corporate mood and a bold creativity.

A familiar and very welcoming place where architecture, design and interior design meet in an innovative dimension, with the style and philosophy of Mogg.

The building is a typical element of the past, reproposed in a new guise and blends perfectly with the contemporaneity of the collection. The ideal exhibition place.

To welcome a quiet courtyard with a small garden and some old-fashioned plant with a vaguely retro flavor on which the large entrance window opens. Once the threshold is crossed, a part of the showroom immediately appears, a sort of living area that then continues and develops on the first floor where the double-height ceiling, the mezzanine and a fully glazed wall make it dynamic and very scenic.

Here the spaces tighten and widen thanks to two-color technical net fabric as curtains in warm colors that create light divisions between the various settings with a light weight effect.

Yellow is the dominant color, with its soft and precious light, punctuated here and there by notes of a warm gray that envelops the walls and ceilings of the whole building. Some typical details of the Lombard farmhouse are deliberately left behind and are an integral part of the whole. Elegant and fluid, the overall effect shows a freshness that is one of the characteristics of the brand.

The gaze on things is always original and conscious, the knowledge of techniques and materials is deep. Each element of Mogg from furniture to objects, expresses a new energy through the reworking of traditional references and the comparison of visual languages of contemporaneity. Metals and lacquers are combined with natural materials. The linear, clean and simple shapes allude to a precise and recognizable style, to a secret luxury to be discovered, to details that mark the differences.

Three levels of a total of 1000 square meters, where offices, warehouse and assembly department, quality control and packaging coexist, moved between scenographies of real housing solutions; It is partly an old Lombard farmhouse and partly a large loft lit by tall windows that overlook the adjacent park.

It is an important space, but not monumental, unusual and different from the common industrial buildings of the area. MOGG has rethought it in full respect of the context in which it is inserted and reflects the idea of a project in continuous evolution.
